Society held its AGM

This year's AGM on Saturday, 26 November 2022, was well visited. Our chairman looked back onto a good year in the development of the Society, with increased membership numbers and new volunteers on the groups and for the committee.

2022 saw a successful anniversary event, successful networking, and as a result the printing of the ‘Prospectus for the Wider Water Lane Area’. At the AGM the new website of the Society was launched; it has been developed by Sam Freeman from Hambly / Freeman, an Exeter based company for high-end, progressive websites that is sponsoring the website. President Hazel Harvey and Chairman Keith Lewis thanked all who had been involved in the activities of the last 12 months and expressed their wish that the society remains equally active in the year to come.  The consultation for the Draft Exeter Plan will be one of the focusses for the near future; the ‘Strategic Planning & Highways Group’ is currently preparing an extensive evaluation of the draft proposal. Other projects and campaigns for 2023 were discussed and now need implementation. The event concluded with a social coming together around a small buffet. Members agreed that it was an enjoyable event and a welcome boost for a busy year ahead.
