Then, Now & Next Walk: A New Side of Exeter

Wednesday 1st November at 14:00-16:00
Meet opposite Park & Ride, Honiton Road (bus shelter): grid ref SX 964 927, POSTCODE RX2 7NL, Bus stop Moore Lane, near Premier Inn and Brewers Fayre. Use Bus No 4 from City Centre.

Jim Perriam will lead a walk to the Met Office, Gypsy Hill and Science Park

On this walk we will explore a relatively new side in the history of Exeter where science meets the East Devon countryside. The Walk will lead us from the Honiton Park & Ride, past the Met Office into East Devon and that part of the Tithebarn community where the Science Park is located, along with new homes  ad new community facilities. We will pass the Gypsy Hill Hotel and proceed over the new pedestrian bridge which crosses the motorway towards the Science Park returning following a circular route to the car park, in total about 2.5 miles. Lots to reflect upon and to talk about. Which direction will our city go? What are the changes the arrival of the Met Office and Science Park mean for Exeter as a city? We might stop for refreshments at a pub along the way.
