11.00 Launch of Discovering Exeter: Sidwell Street and St James. Dr Julia Neville, our President, who edited the new edition will talk about the history of the area covered by the book which includes not only Sidwell Street but an area from Blackboy Road up to Mount Pleasant and across the railway to Lion’s Holt and Devonshire Place. She will explain how the events of the forty years since the publication of the first edition have not only changed the face of the area itself but added to our understanding of its history.
