Walk Around Lion’s Holt

A group of 16 members assembled for a walking tour of the area around Lion's Holt on April 8th. It was the hottest day of the year so far, and any shade that we could find was welcome. The walk was billed as "in search of Exeter's lost streams and wells" and we looked at the likely course of the Longbrook, and at the sites of several of the wells which once provided Exeter with its main water supply. We also noted the mixed effects of the exceptionally high student population in the area.
