We will meet at the bus stop by St Thomas Railway Station – several buses from the City Centre stop here including the Crossmead, Exwick or Alphington routes. Or the train from Exeter Central would also get you here. For ease we will also finish the walk at the opposite bus stop, the terrain is flat and on pavements.
Then, Now & Next Walk: St. Thomas – on public request: a repeat of last year’s walk in the rain
Do join us (again) for a leisurely walk around the ‘wrong side of the river’ as St Thomas has been traditionally known to the locals. Find out some of the reasons why it may have been true and why those who live here don’t agree! We won’t have time to cover the whole area but will include several varying sites of interest. Wendy Rakestrow will lead this walk, which will come in several loops, so if you do not want to do the whole walk you can drop out earlier. We all hope the weather will be kinder to us than in October when only a very few rain hardy members made it to this walk and reported back how very interesting it had been, So thanks, Wendy, for offering it again. Keep the clouds at bay!
