Then, Now & Next Walk: New Development along Prince Charles Road (Wider Exmouth Junction site)

Wednesday 15th January at 14:00-16:00
Meet opposite Mount Pleasant Health Centre, EX4 7BW, Mount Pleasant Road
Gert is offering a walk along the new development alongside Prince Charles Road, which will be the first low car use site in Exeter. The area alongside the railtracks is levelled out, foundations have gone in and two large blocks of what will be built here are already up and close to be finished. We can discuss the architecture and the impact on the local area.

We might have a chance to be guided into the development. Depending on the weather, we could go for a tea/coffee in Morrison’s and then walk back through the Stoke Hill area, social housing of the better quality from the time around the 1960s/70s – lots of properties have solar panels now, another topic worth talking about, especially as the Government will make grants and low interest credits available over the year.

We meet at 2pm sharp at the bus stop opposite Mount Pleasant Health centre. Public transport: K-Bus. Car-parking: top end of Priory Road has a few visitor spaces for 2 hours on either side of the street, in what is a parking scheme area.
