Blue Plaque commemorating Dick Pym to be unveiled

The Civic Society and Topsham Museum’s blue plaque to Dick Pym will be unveiled at 12 noon on Monday 31 July on Ferry Road on the wall directly below Topsham Parish Church.

Dick Pym played in goal for Exeter City, Bolton Wanderers and England. He played in the first Wembley cup final in 1923 and in two others, winning all three and not conceding a goal. His transfer to Bolton in 1921 for a world record fee enabled Exeter to buy St James’ Park.
